Today the subject of our attention is a very popular food among people, brought by the Germans in the 19th century. Hot dogs – from the moment they were introduced to the world, two centuries ago, until now, they have become one of the most popular foods.
People from around the world are familiar with this product, but what they are ignorant about is how much danger it puts our bodies through.
It is scientifically proven that the hot dog contains properties which can cause 4 different types of cancer, including colon, stomach, bladder and pancreatic cancer.
A recent study conducted by the WHO (World Health Organization) proved that every bit of processed meat, and even red meat, can cause cancer.
And let us not begin on the manufacturing process. Everything bad you can imagine, processed meat does not even begin to describe it.
Animal heads, feet, skins, tissues, anything that can pass along as edible is stored in these hot dogs, and then served for the people to eat. And to top it off, it is then combined with a number of nitrates, corn syrup, plenty of salt, and other chemicals that have the word cancer all over them.
More recent studies have even connected eating hot dogs as a bad of a habit as smoking. It contributes to the same amount of damage.
In addition, to explain what is the very harmful about eating this food, is that it contains nitrates and nitrites, which, when bound together, form nitrosamines.
So, when the studies were conducted, it was shown that the nitrosamines, when consumed by a person, disrupt the body and create bladder cancer, stomach cancer, colon cancer and pancreatic cancer.
What is worse, organic hot dogs are not a healthier option. They are filled with these toxic chemical compounds, maybe even more than the regular hot dogs.
Consuming one hot dog a day increases your chances of getting cancer by 21%, so next time when you stop at a fast food joint to pick up a hot dog, think twice.
