Apple Cider Vinegar for Reducing High Blood Pressure

High blood pressure, or hypertension, is one of the most common health conditions. This condition has to be controlled because it can be responsible for an occurrence of many dangerous health issues, including cardiovascular diseases, heart attacks and strokes.

One of the most effective ways to regulate your blood pressure is to consume apple cider vinegar (ACV). Various studies have concluded that this natural remedy can successfully control and lower your blood pressure, which is why you should include the apple cider vinegar in your everyday diet.

How Does Apple Cider Vinegar Reducing High Blood Pressure?

Reducing High Blood Pressure

The apple cider vinegar is very effective in treating numerous health conditions because of its rich nutritional value.

This vinegar is a great source of the vitamins B1, B2, B6, C, as well as the minerals iron, calcium, potassium and magnesium.

The apple cider vinegar also contains acetic acid which plays a major role in the reduction of a high blood pressure.

The intake of ACV has an alkaline effect on your body. When ACV is ingested, it restores the healthy alkaline balance in the body.

A recent study, which results were published in the journal Bioscience, Biotechnology, and Biochemistry, proved that the acetic acid, found in ACV, can significantly reduce high blood pressure by causing a decrement of the renin activity.

The renin is an enzyme that controls the blood pressure. According to the study, apart from its ability to lower hypertension, the acetic acid can also prevent an occurrence of this condition.

Another study, published in the British Journal of Nutrition, came to a conclusion that the acetic acid is highly beneficial for reducing the cholesterol levels.

High levels of cholesterol are closely related to high blood pressure. If the blood has too much bad cholesterol, the arteries are filled with cholesterol plaque and, the heart works hard to pump the blood which increases the blood pressure.

This study was conducted on three groups of rats. One of the groups had a diet which contained acetic acid. This group showed a great reduction in the levels of cholesterol and triglycerides, which are associated with atherosclerosis.

How to Consume Apple Cider Vinegar?

If you suffer from high blood pressure, the apple cider vinegar should be included in your everyday diet. Keep in mind that you should use raw ACV, one that is unprocessed, unfiltered, and unpasteurized.

The best way to intake ACV is to add 1 or 2 tablespoons of this vinegar to a glass of water. Optionally, you can add some pure honey to the water.

This drink should be consumed on a daily basis. Another way to consume ACV is to add it to your salad. This is also beneficial for losing weight.

You should always consume diluted ACV in order to prevent any damage to your throat and your tooth enamel. Also, you should intake ACV in small amounts. When this vinegar is used in large amounts, it can be responsible for reducing the level of potassium and for weakening your bones.

If you are a consumer of any medications for heart issues and diabetes, you should consult your doctor before using ACV.
