Fiber is the Main Nutrient for Quick Weight Loss

Due to the busy lifestyle people nowadays are taking less and less time to cook proper and healthy meals. Instead, fast food, sweets and sodas seem to be the easiest choice, which lead to obesity in majority of children and adults.

That increases the risk of different and serious health complications. However, people are becoming more and more aware of the consequences of fast food, so they are constantly trying to find ways to lose weight quickly.

Instead, fiber burns the stored fat and converts it to energy. There are two types of fiber: soluble and insoluble.

Soluble Fiber

This type is great for your cholesterol levels and glucose levels in your blood. It binds with fatty acids and absorbs the glucose which otherwise stores as fat in your body.

That means that soluble fiber burns that fat by turning it into energy, which also helps in controlling insulin levels.

Insoluble Fiber

This type is responsible for balancing the acidity in the bowels and getting rid of all the toxins that accumulate in your body.

Insoluble fiber increases the movement of material through your digestive tract and prevents constipation.

It has been shown that fiber helps in losing weight. Soluble fiber forms gel-like substance when dissolved in water and causes swelling and slower movements in the intestines.

As a result the food stays in the intestines for a longer period of time, which suppresses the feeling of hunger for a prolonged time. Moreover, fiber decreases the number of calories that the body absorbs from the food we ingest.

Obesity occurs when the fat we ingest stores in different parts of the body, unable to convert into energy for a longer period of time.

That happens because when we consume food high in fats and carbohydrates, the body converts that into glucose and big part of that glucose is stored as fat.

Only very small amount of that is turned into energy. When enough of that fat accumulates in the body, it leads to overweight and obesity.

Fiber actually converts that glucose into energy by increasing the metabolic rate. As a result your cells and tissues are burning energy, or in other words they are burning calories.

That happens because fiber helps in fastening your digestion and as a result the food quickly passes through your body, and the toxins get out faster.
